Rock County VOAD consists of volunteer organizations active in disaster responses throughout Rock County. This open forum allows the organizations of our community to meet, share ideas and form working relationships in a low stress, civic minded environment, in a continued effort to serve the citizens of Rock County.

National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, membership-based organization that builds resiliency in communities nationwide. It serves as the forum where organizations share knowledge and resources throughout the disaster cycle — preparation, response, recovery and mitigation — to help disaster survivors and their communities.

The Rock County VOAD adheres to the principles established by the National VOAD.  The principles are referred to as the 4C's:

COOPERATION
COMMUNICATION
COLLABORATION
COORDINATION

These principles serve as the foundation for the Rock County VOAD as it collaborates with local, regional and national partners to coordinate disaster relief, response and recovery efforts in times of disaster.
